Questionhow many lights do you need for 10' tree

- Answer I have a 9.5 foot tree and I used 2 strings of 600 each. Its plenty, and looks good. But it would look even better with more. Only issue with more lights, the more lights, the less room for ornaments. Some may disagree but because of the patterns displayed by the lights, its expected to be on a somewhat flat surface, not run up and down every branch. Its personal preference obviously but thats what I've done. But, now you're making it more difficult to put ornaments on. You've effectively built up a wall on the outer layer of your tree. And the more lights in the way the more difficult it will be to get ornaments hung.

- Answer If you’d like. The lights are split into two equal lengths connecting to the main controller. If you only connect one length, you’ll have half the 600 lights, light up…and the other half can stay in the box.

Questiondoes the twinkly music play only preprogramed from the company or can i play my own playlist through it?

- Answer The music feature of this Twinkly package is usb powered and uses a microphone in the usb device to listen to whatever sound is playing near it in the room. You can use whatever source of sound you like, there is no music provided. If you have the television on in the same room it will also pic up on the usb mic and change the lights. To use the music feature you have to change the mode to music in the Twinkly app and then choose the style of lighting that goes best with your music.

QuestionCan these lights be used outside around edge of a garage or roof?

- Answer Hi! This product is IP44 certified, This means that they can be used also outdoor safely within this range of temperature: from -15 °C to 40 °C or 14°F to 104°F Consider placing the plug and the controller in a proof location, and to avoid plunges into the water for a long time (pools, gutters, puddles… ). One other good solution, if you don't have any safe place near the string, is to buy a waterproof box for plugs, which stores both the controller and the plug itself

QuestionCan strings use linear FX like dots and lines? I know the idea is to wrap them around stuff and then map - but if I want to run strings along something like a stairway ceiling that’s not mappable - can I use unmapped string as a single 1D liine?

- Answer I assume you had the child already Lol... but yes, totally, and it's easy to chain them together in the app. note. For a sentence, you will need more than 600 lights for sure.

- Answer Hi! sure you can adjust the brightness using the Twinkly App control panel and regarding the last question the product TWS600STP is the same as inside the bundle, a 600 led rgb string.

- Answer Hi! Yes, you can choose the color you want from the app and apply it to your lights. For example, you can do it through the Control Panel and choose the COLOR option, then choose the one you prefer.
