Is this plug in located in the middle of this set? Like the 600 set? Instead of at just one end of the lights? null

That is a unique way of thinking of it, but you are correct: From the plug, there are two separate strands of lights. It is not one long continuous strand. There is a long lead from the plug to the start of the lights. I have a 10’ tree and have zero issues getting the lights to the top of the tree.

The wall adapter goes to the controller, On the other side of the controller, two twisted cables come out, leading to a string of 300 bulbs each. 

If you plan on running them along a wall or roof edge, then you'll probably want the plug in the center somewhere. There's a lot of lead in wire before you get to the first bulbs, so there's some room to play here.

You can always tell in the image if it's a split string if it's a Twinkly product. If it shows two bundles, it will have two separate strings.

The 250 light strings product has two "branches" of lights so the small controller module and the plug are both at the middle of the "Y." this is the same as the 600 light strings product.

The Twinkly - Smart Light String 100 LED RGB Generation II has the plug on the end, it is not in the middle like some of the other Twinkly lights.

Yes. All of the Twinkly lights have the plug in the center. They do give you quite a bit of lead wire to the controller though, I'd say about a 3 foot lead on each side.
