Yes, that is exacly how I use mine.

All speakers that have a 3.5 mm audio jack can work with our projector. 2. Please notice the complete contact of each segment with the projector audio connector when inserting the port, so that the sound can be produced normally. 3. Do not use too much force in the process of connecting the audio cable. Excessive force will cause the machine interface to be damaged or fall off, and it cannot be connected again. - Vankyo Support Team
