• There are multiple possible causes to an issue like this. The yellow RCA is for video, as you mentioned. Please make sure that the white and/or red connections are also made for audio. Check that the Recording Volume slider beneath the video Preview is not muted (-10/-9). If Microphone (audio) permissions have not been granted in the OS, please make sure those are enabled as well.
