• Ring cannot be installed if you do not have a current doorbell. They do not do the wiring, just the install to existing set up

• Not sure which one the Elite is, but i had a side garage door that did not have wiring to. I bought the ring doorbell 2 that uses a battery. Works perfect. The battery level comes up on the App and so far after a month has only used 8%. I bought a spare to change out while they charge. Just a thought....

• The Ring doorbell has the option of using a battery pack if you don’t currently have a wired doorbell.
