Install smart doorbell
We'll replace your existing doorbell with a smart doorbell according to manufacturer guidelines. Then, we’ll add the smart doorbell to your existing wireless network or a smart hub that you supply.
Download new features
We’ll update both software and firmware on the new doorbell as needed. Plus, we’ll connect and configure your existing network and make any required adjustments.
Final steps
We’ll demonstrate how to change batteries and use the new doorbell system. In addition, we'll help with personalization and the configuration of an existing voice control device with your new doorbell.
We’ll let you know how to contact us for future support, answer any questions you may have, and provide solutions as needed.
*This service does not include installation or concealment of any cable or wiring including relocation or modification of the doorbell wiring, setup or configuration of a new wireless network, or home modifications.

Instal ok but not to my satisfaction
||Posted .The installer installed my ring doorbell and hooked it up to my regular doorbell. Well all you could see was the front of my garage because of where the doorbell was situated. When I asked him what I could do he said I should put one of those round mirrors on the side of my house so it would reflect to my driveway. There was no mention of installing one of those attachments that came with the doorbell To make it Show in that direction. Nor was it mentioned that it could run on battery and be installed on the other side of the door! He just installed it and left Anyway I had to hire someone else to install it. Definitely was not happy with this. A waste of my money!!!!

Geek Squad the problem solvers tricky TV installs
||Posted .Mike and Shawn from the Saratoga, NY location re-mounted my 75 inch television. The job was challenging due to placement of the electrical box by the builder. They solved the problem by having me order the perfect TV bracket that solved the problem, and they were able to move the TV exactly where I wanted it to be. Excellent customer service, problem solvers, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would highly recommend these two men at the Geek Squad for your installation needs!

Theater system
||Posted .The install was just ok. I thought the wiring could have been a lot neater. No zip ties, or anything to organize. The amp does not work properly. It cuts off after a few minutes. It was like that when geek squad. Said they didn’t know what to do. I was told that sonance would contacted. One of the ceiling speakers does not work.

Comically inept service
||Posted .The service provided for this smart doorbell installation was comically bad. Not only were the installers unable to correctly install the device after 3 tries, the Geek Squad home office was unable to correctly communicate any rescheduled or canceled appointments. This meant that installers were randomly showing up at my house in the middle of this pandemic asking to be let into my house with no warning at all, even after I requested no further installation attempts. Eventually I decided to have another company remove all of the smart doorbell components. This same company was able to install a new door bell in a single try. In summation: - the Geek Squad installers did not properly understand the process to install the product - they were unable to effectively communicate rescheduled appointments and chose appointment windows to show up without consulting me - the home office was not able to effectively cancel these appointments meaning installers were showing up at my house unannounced - the home office could not even route me to the correct department to solve my problem. They seemed completely inept at solving this issue after several failed attempts I will never order any smart devices from Best Buy or have them installed by Geek Squad again

Q: QuestionI currently do not a doorbell or have any wires ran for a doorbell. Would the 99 fee include running new wires for a new installation? I am looking to find this out before I purchase a Ring/Nest.

- A:Answer I had to hire an electrician which was around $275. The electricity had to be at a certain level for Ring doorbell to work.

Q: QuestionI had a ring doorbell and have a new replacement that needs install... but I need my doorbell transformer replaced as well, would that be included in the service? But I’m not sure where my ring doorbell transformer is.

- A:Answer For the transformer in the case you have to contact a electrician. This’s was happened with my new doorbell that doesn’t compatible with the old transformer. The Agent can’t do it. The service isn’t include.
