I had an existing hard wired door bell and replaced it with the Ring doorbell, also hard wired. Am very satisfied with the product and with the installation done by the Geek Squad associate. Highly recommend

The Nest Hello requires a "wi-fi system" to take advantage of all the system features. You probably already have an operational router and wi-fi system in your home.
