If you were to get a matching sub woofer to the one that came with the sound bar, based on my experience you can. With the sound bar and both subs plugged in, put the 2 subs in pair mode (at the same time, or one at a time but in quick succession) by turning them on and holding down the pairing button for 5 seconds. When both subs are flashing in pairing mode, go to the soundbar and hold the Power Button down for 5 seconds. The LEDs on the front should flash 3 times indicating the devices are paired. As for where to get one, I'd recommend contacting Vizio (I would imagine they either build units for spares or get defective sets back where the soundbar doesn't work but the sub does). Other than that the only thing that comes to mind is eBay...
