For a small TV, I found it quite decent. Because it's a bedroom TV, and I didn't want the sound bouncing off the walls all crazy, I purchased a bluetooth dongle which is powered by the USB adapter and is a direct 3.5mm plug-in to the TV's output. With it, I purchased a pair of decent desktop speakers (10" size) for each side of the bed at the headboard and paired them with the bluetooth dongle. I have treble/bass control on it, they have a nice cavity size unto themselves so the audio they produce is good. The volume control is on the speaker so nobody needs to fumble for the remote. The TV itself produces no sound. It all comes out the bluetooth speakers
