“this should be my last question. (tv is excellent) i have stereo speakers connected to amplifier and rca connectors to tv but i get no soundto the external speakers is there an electronic switch that must be turned on or off (not using hdmi)”

Hi - Three things to try. First, check the audio section in the on-screen guide accessed with your remote (using the MENU button). Second, go online and view or download the full User Guide, as it will detail the available options and set-ups. Third, confirm that you have the correct settings and hook-up for your amplifier to receive and play the TV audio signal. Good luck.
