SmartCast is different from Chromecast. You can only use the applications that are installed onto the TV and you cannot download anymore or uninstall the ones that are on your TV. If you want to use any other application such as Spotify you will have to launch them on your phone and cast them over to the TV which is a huge hassle.

We are continuously evaluating new applications for possible addition to this screen. In the meantime you can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications to the TV from any mobile device on your network.
