This should be fine. The trick with the wall mounts is to have them firmly attached to the wall, with the fasteners separated as far as possible. I bought a wall mount for $15 at the discount tool store and I would support several hundred pounds. The weakest point on the mounting system is the nuts molded into the TV cabinet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought a mount suitable for 32"-70" TVs, but this TV definitely weighs considerably less than 80lb. I have a smaller (40") plasma-lit HDTV and it's definitely A LOT heavier than this 48". I lifted it onto my wall mount by myself and I'm just a 5'4" guy. Stability might be an issue, but if your mount has at least 18" of distance between the two mounting arms you'll probably be okay.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We recommend using a mount rated for this size TV.
