That’s the downfall of this tv and the problem we’re having too. The colors are dull and don’t pop. They picture is not sharp either and faces have a shiny pink tint. Our older 5 year old Vizio is way better. There are no recommended settings. You have to contact the Geek Squad if you purchased the extra protection and I heard it takes like 2 hours but with COVID I don’t think we’re going to do that. We’re going to return it. It’s a terrible purchase.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the Vivid or Calibrated setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’.

We just bought this TV and were very frustrated with picture quality and color and endless settings. Then it varied by channel it seemed. Did an online chat with Vizio and they said to bring up resolution settings for TV service provider (Spectrum cable for us) and change the resolution from 720p to 1080p and the picture looks great. We changed the picture setting to "Calibrated" and it looks great. Try it!
