• yes on the remote it comes with. Its a generic remote but does the job.

• No, using the remote control gives you the most basic use. To really adjust your set, you need vizio smartcast

• The SmartCast app is required to connect the unit to the network and to cast applications. If you aren't connecting it to the network then the app isn't needed.
