A:Answer The Vizio E55-E2 first of all is NOT a TV, It has no tuner. Has no Apps that run on it without any other devices connected. This is called a "Home Theater Display". It is just that, a large Monitor if you will. We upgraded from a Vizio E480i Smart TV to the Vizio E55-E2 Home Theater Display on our wall. We do not pay for cable TV nor do we watch what comes over the airwaves, We subscribe to Amazon Prime & use it for viewing movies & the like. Our E55-E2 has a 2:1 Vizio Sound bar & wireless sub-woofer connected via toslink. We have a Nintendo Wii connected to the composite RCA type jacks, a standard DVD player connected to HDMI & an Intel i5 tower with 12GB memory & GeForce GTX 1050ti 4GB video card driving the E55-E2 via HDMI. We have 'CAST' to the E55-E2 from phone, tablet & other computers (we run as many as 4 separate computers in our home.) with little to no issues. This 'Casting' to the Vizio is quickly becoming the way to watch these days. We mainly use the computer for most viewing on our new E55-E2. Amazon Prime on Chrome goes full screen & works GREAT!
The ONLY caveat I have for Samsung is that depending on your other Samsung devices you have & any your guests may have, is that they will begin to communicate between themselves without prompting you. ie) Let's say you are watching a movie with friends, your friend gets a call on his new Galaxy S8 but because he is sitting in front of your new Samsung TV, the movie sound is muted & a text box appears saying that 'so-n-so' is calling & proceeds to answer the call through the TV like a speaker phone
