• The m558 g1 is rated 600 nits of brightness and has 4x the local dimming zones of the m557, which is rated at only 400 nits. Spring for the m558 if you can; when on sale it can go as low as just $50 more than the m557. I don't think bestbuy sells the m557. Also be sure to get the 2019 model (m558 G1), not the 2018.

• The M7 models have less dimming zones and lower nit output. The m7s have 44 nits and 15 dimming zones, but the M8 models have 600 nits and 90 dimming zones.
