The distance between the legs of the stand is 50.87" at it's widest, and 11.81" deep.

I bought a tv stand on Amazon for about $34 that attaches to the points on the back that would usually be used to bolt the tv on a wall bracket. The footprint now is only 16.5” x 11.5”. It works great.
