• The buttons are not backlit, unfortunately you will not be able to see the buttons in the dark. On the plus side I like this remote more than the standard one because of the volume control and use of voice control. With the volume control I don’t need any other remote. I bought the standard one and this remote later.

• No the keys are not backlit. But the most commonly used keys are grouped together at the top of the remote. I have memorized their function & location for use in situations of low light.
