3. Press SELECT again to select Ringer volume.
4. Press ▼CID on the handset until you reach the lowest volume level.
5. Press SET to save your preference. There is a confirmation tone and the screen returns to the previous menu.
On the telephone base:
1. Press VOLUME - on the telephone base to set the ringer volume of the telephone base while the phone is not in use.
2. Press SET to confirm and you hear a confirmation tone.

The machine is set to answer after 4 rings by default, you can set the number of rings from 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or Toll saver. It would also depend if you are using the smart call blocker feature to screen your incoming calls. A:AnswerHi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech IS8151-4. The telephone system has a feature that will automatically set the time and date based on the Caller ID details. You can turn the feature off for the manually set time and date not to change when receiving a call.
1. Press MENU when the telephone is not in use.
2. Press CID down on the handset or telephone base to scroll to Settings, then press SELECT.
3. Press CID down on the handset or telephone base to scroll to CID time sync, then press SELECT.
4. Press CID down on the handset or telephone base to highlight Off, then press SELECT to save.
