Hi - We are sorry to hear that the baby unit of the VTech VM5251 is not working. Make sure that the AC power is plugged in securely. You may also try installing it on a different electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch. If you are still having issues with the unit, you can contact our Customer Support at 1-800-595-9511.
