“Does this work with the Samsung galaxy tab a8 as well? I'm seeing that it works with everything else and have my hopes up but don't want to get it without knowing for this tablet as well”

it is an active stylus which means it sends electronic signals to the device to track location of the stylus on the screen. that means that unless the a8 has wacom aes or microsoft pen protocol, it will not work
