Hello Ape, This item is made of High-grade MDF and laminate. MDF stands for medium density fiberboard. Which is compressed wood fibers. While it may not be everyone's taste, it stands up to warping, and humidity better than hardwood. The material and other details can be found under the "Specifications" tab.
