Is it meant to be very loud? I bought one a week ago and when I use it, it is extremely loud. It sounds like a construction site when I use it. Is this normal for this product or may I have a faulty one? null

I set mine on a washcloth on the countertop. This reduces the noise a lot.

yes its loud, however the sound it does not bother me it only for a moment

Hello Ben- Noise is normal. This product was designed for use in the bathroom and to have sound levels appropriate for the space. Specifically, we design our products to have a sound level that is less than 70 dBA, where less than 70 dBA is defined as ‘conversation level’. Beyond 70 dBA we hear the sound of a toilet flush and at approaching 90 dBA we are in the range of most hair dryers.
