I’m sure it would vary by car but with mine mounted at the bottom of the windshield I still have an impressive view of the interior of the vehicle. The only thing you can’t see are my hips and legs and that is with the camera angled to see the hood and front of the vehicle appropriately.

Please try again later.I don't think that's possible the way the camera is made it has to sit towards front window and if you mount up by the light you would get the interference of your rearview mirror. The mount patrudes out not up as if you were going to mount a radar detector even mounting the GPS. You won't get pictures inside.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The newest model can be mounted upside down however these are made to be on the front windshield so you might have to make something custom to mount it from the dome light area.
