Although it should fit in any laptop designed with a SATA interface, some Apple products have finicky format requirements that can only be satisfied with a drive factory SPECIFICALLY formatted for Apple products. Either way, you will likely have to switch a proprietary drive carriage from your old drive onto the new one for it to fit properly.
