Hi Melissa, Please know that WD Mainstream Laptop drive has 2.5 Inch form factor. Please check with the PC vendor whether WD drive will fit and support the PC. if your laptop/notebook takes a small drive it should work. open the case remove the old drive plug the replacement in. on another computer go to windows site and download the windows 10 install onto a micro drive. insert the drive into the notebook and access bios to boot from a usb drive. your notebook should have the serial # of the windows that was installed on your notebook. good luck.
