• This is a 3.5 internal hard drive for a large PC or Mac Tower. It is not meant to use inside a laptop. However, I use this hard drive for back-ups and it can be used with a laptop if you connect it using a dock like this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-2-bay-hdd-docking-station/6153102.p?skuId=6153102 Just make sure you get a docking station with the right type of USB-3 or Thunderbolt connection that matches the inputs you have on the Mackbook Pro. Thunderbolt can be faster.
