Hi Zopie, The answer is a resounding yes to your question. By plugging this device into the usb port located in front of your PS4 and leaving it attached, you are able to store more games onto this external hard drive and play them, too. When plugging this device into the ps4, it will prompt you to format the hard drive to be compatible in downloading ps4 games as well as running the ps4 operating system. Don't worry about this process as it'll only take a couple of minutes at the most if not seconds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have it that way in my 500gb Xbox one s so I think it will work on your ps4
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work, but remember the drive is only as fast as it’s spin rate. It’s better for storing music etc. on this drive than for games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are no external hard drives that work for PS4. You can plug it in to a Xbox One and it will work. The only way to get extra storage on a ps4 is to buy an internal hard drive and replace the one in it yourself. You can look up a YouTube video. They sell the internal ones at best buy for like 80 dollars I think. I bought a 1TB for my ps4 and it works just fine.
