Wish I could help you. I had to get cust svc to register it. They did so. Next, I had to get cust svc to install it because a 'buy this now' window popped up and blocked me from installing it. Cust svc is good, and competent. But now that I have it, cannot open it ever again and it does not even provide a logo or symbol to pini to task br or t put on desktop to access it. I may yet return mine because I cannot even tell if it is working, and I already am certain that if I ever need it, I will have to ask cust svc to access if for me. MOST USER-HOSTILE DEVICE I EVER ENCOUNTERED. IF I CLICK THE LOGO IT PUT ON MY DESKTOP, IT TRIES TO SELL ME '20 NEEDED DRIVERS' !!!

Hi, Please be informed that the WD Easystore drive comes preformatted in NTFS format for Windows OS, However, in order to use the drive for macOS you can reformat the drive with macOS supported HFS+J file system by using this link: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3879 -Need Help?
