It's very simple. As soon as you plug this device into your computer it will recognize it as a NEW storage device automatically. At this point, you just open the folder on your computer that contains all your photos and DRAG all the photos to the new hard drive. (i would create a photo on the new hard drive first called "Photos" or something similar.
