• yes its back compatable to 2.0 but slower than when using 3.0

• Yes, I had no issues connecting the device using USB 2.0 ports on my computer in either Windows (7) or Linux operating systems. With a Linux PC, the USB 3.0 was a bit dodgy in fact so I use it on 2.0 only.

• It should work with 2.0 because the 3.0 is backward compatible. The connection of 3.0 is faster than 2.0, but that is about it as for the differences.
