It sounds like it might be a cable issue - try using a different USB cable. Also, it could be the USB port on the Xbox One - try using it in a different port for a few days/weeks and see if the problem persists.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had similar issue with one of our Xbox while playing games and thought the hdd was failing. The issue turned out to be the usb port the hdd was plugged into. Plugged the hdd into another usb port and the hdd worked as it should. Luckily the Xbox was still under warranty and was able to get the usb port fixed. Since getting the Xbox back from repair, we have not had any further issues.
