Bob, sounds like you are missing a critical driver you need for it to work if it is complaining or your settings are not correct to allow operation. I would check your settings first since I don't think they are correct. Thinking something turned off that shouldn't be offset to another mode to enable another device you need to change back to defaults. I have not heard of these not working with Catalina. Check this out yourself first before contacting support.
