“Can you do automatic back ups to this drive using windows 10??? I have a MyBookLive that can't do automatic backups because win10 doesn't recognize the drive.”

Windows 10 recognizes this drive the minute you plug it in; no need to do anything else to activate it; it is ready to go for archiving or for backups.
