“After formating this HDD to be useful for ps4, will still work with pc as plug and play, or it will need to be formated again to be useful in pc? Bought this mainly for my pc but want to use it in both machines but pc as priority. Thank you.”

No. This WD digital disk has to be formatted on a Windows computer for you to access it. ps4 is NOT compatible with the Windows operating system.
