Can I use this with my iPad null

Not unless you buy a converter. There is only one cord provided and it is a USB end that connects the drive to your device. That cord is fine for a Mac desktop but pretty much no other Apple product at this point. Apple does make a converter cord. I will have to purchase that as well to back up my MacBook.
