• its a usb connection, interchange of data can be slow due to it being a harddrive system. Should be ok to store game data on but would worry about interchange of live action data not being stored or accessed with adequate speeds. Wonderful disk if looking to store data in general as that is whar unit is really made for. Buring throught sectors to gain data works too butwill not be instantaneous data retrieval.

• Hi​​​​​​​, Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD.
