How to format for use on Mac computer null

Hi Mick, The WD Easystore external portable hard drive comes pre-formatted with NTFS format for Windows computer. However, you can reformat the drive with macOS supported HFS+J file system by using this link: "Reformatting Required for Mac OS Compatibility" https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3879 -Need Help? Load disk utilities, select the drive to format. Choose erase then select the format option. For Mac only use Mac OS Exteneded Journaled. If you want to use oh both Mac and Windows, select Extended EXFAT format. Then hit erase to format the disk,.

Connect it, power it up, go to Disk Utility (in Applications/Utilities), select the WD disk on the left, go to the Erase tab, and choose "Mac OS Extended". Click Erase. That should do it.
