“how many hours of life does this hard drive have? Compared to Seagate st5000402 what would be the difference?”

not sure exactly the time difference but from my experience western digital items work longer than most seagate hard drives. that being said mine runs all the time my pc runs as a external connected hard drive. its been running like that for almost a yr with no issues if that helps.
