What is the format type of the drive? Is it exFAT ? null

Hi Rocky, The WD Easystore external portable hard drive comes pre-formatted with NTFS format for Windows computer. However, the hard drive can be reformatted in a supported exFAT format to be used on Windows and macOS. You can (re)format it to any format type you want, except FAT.
