Depends on the damage, as with all hard drives light data loss can easily be restored with a bunch of disk utility software out there. Some are available for free, but unfortunately most are premium. Heavier/Physical damage are a lot harder to fix, it usually requires you shipping you disk off to folks who specialize in partition/data restoration. HINT: Try not to move your easystore around too much especially if it serves as a backup disk. (get a portable 500gb nand drive if you like taking your movies along with you)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'd have to call in a disk data recovery service. I've never used one but I understand they charge hundreds of dollars or more. Better to have two or more backups.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once a drive goes bad you would have to restore with and external medium. If you have a Mac I suggest using R-Studio, or if you can afford a similar size drive then Clonezilla.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Being able to restore this unit depends on what happens to it. If the box, controller, or cables have a problem, you can remove the drive and either install it directly to your system as an additional drive, install it in a replacement case, or even plug it into a docking station and recover your information.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, no. If this is used to back up other data on other storage units, then if it get fried you should have the originals unless everything you have is destroyed by some cataclysmic event. If it is used as as a storage unit and not a back up, then you need other backup plans in place. Any HD that goes out or gets fried is unlikely to be restored, That is why we us redundancy in our back up plans.
