• It will but you will need to format it first in xp. See my other answer here on using with xp for details. I have the larger 10TB drive working in xp. :)

• I don't think so, too big. I believe XP's largest drive it can read is either 2 TB or 4 TB. I would recommend a 500GB external hard drive to copy your data off.

• Yes it will. but you need to upgrade from xp. The program is not supported anymore for years. If you've noticed you get no updates plus your so vulnerable to being hacked. If computer supports windows 10. Then spend your money on that first. But place all your files backed up on this external drive. You need to UPGRADE.
