“Is it possible to get a replacement AC adapter for this? I lost mine in a recent move.”

Always possible to get a replacement I suspect. But faster and probably cheaper method is to go to a local store that handles electronics and purchase a new adaptor that has various connections that will fit several devices and use that.

Yes you can; I actually ran my drive using an AC adapter for my former 2T WD external HDD

Most external USB drives use a "standard" 12VDC adapter. That said all my external drives have identical adapters.

Yes you can. Just make sure you match up the amp/voltage and you can use a universal power adapter from Radio Shack, Wal-mart or even Best Buy.

Yes it is just a standard 12 v AC to DC adaptor you can buy this in most stores
