“I’m looking for a storage device that I can search notes on a picture just like google. So if I have a video of my son playing ball, I can make a note that says his name and ball and it will find it.. can this storage device do that ?”

The device is basically a drive on your network that performs as any other drive. You'll need to either place your key phrases in the title, or use an organizer software to do what you want. I will follow this in hopes someone has a better answer.
