• As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter which way it sits, as long as it is stable. Only way I can think of extending would be to purchase an extension USB cable. Don't remember price buy purchased at Best Buy. I would think it would work with any version of Windows. If not, Best Buy is very good with returns (within the time limit).
