It depends on the size of the picture, usually around 1 to 3 MB each, and the capacity of the external hard drive. I bought the 4TB My Passport External USB 3 Portable Hard Drive and I expect it to hold well over a million pictures.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on the file size of the photos - but a 4 terabyte drive will hold hundreds of thousands of average sized JPEGs. I take 9 megabyte JPEGs for work and this will hold over 400,000 of them.
