Yes. You would simply need to format the drive to Fat 32/EX FAT. This would allow you to then use the external hard drive for practically ALL available platforms (Windows, IOS, Linux, etc.).

In other words, don't format it to NTSF because the Mac will not like it. PC is happy with both FAT32 and exFAT, but only newer Macs will use exFAT; in older Macs you may have to format to FAT32.
