Mine shows up as "Administrator's iPhone"; 3) Click on the right-pointing arrowhead next to "Administrator's iPhone" and it opens to show "Internal Storage"; 4) Click on the right-pointing arrowhead next to "Internal Storage" and it opens to show "DCIM"; 5) Click on the right-pointing arrowhead next to "DCIM" and it opens to show folders with names like "100APPLE", "101APPLE", etc.; 6) Click on one of the folder names to see your photos. For instance, in the "100APPLE" folder I find all the pictures named "IMG_0001.JPG" through "IMG_0999.JPG"; 7) Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to the location on this USB drive where you want to copy your pictures; 8) Then I just "copy" and "paste" the photos from the iPhone window to the disk drive window using a mouse "right-click" and "copy" on the iPhone picture and then move the cursor to the USB drive and a "right-click" and "paste" onto the disk drive. You can highlight many photos or all the photos in the iPhone folder and copy them all with one "paste" command.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Samsung Android phone with a 128G micro SD card installed. All my photos and music are stored on the card. When I plug the phone into the computer running Windows 10, the phone asks if I wish to grant access to the card, which I allow. At that time, the phone shows up under Windows Explorer as a drive and I can then copy from the phone to the external hard drive. If you have an Iphone, I am not if this method will work. There is another way to transfer your files whether you have an Iphone or Android phone. You can buy thumb drives specifically made to backup data from your phone. Once backed up to this thumb drive you can then transfer from the thumb drive to the hard drive. I added a couple of examples of these drives. If you use this option, you must match the plug tot you phone(lightening, USB-C, etc.
I would recommend:
