• No, it will not work interchangeably on Windows and Mac computers, it will only work on Mac.

• From my experience this hard drive can work with both Windows and Mac computers. I personally always look for the Mac logo on the box to make sure I won't have any issues. I've purchased half a dozen WD hard drives and as far as I've experienced it works for both.
