Wet foods (sauces, soups) must be frozen first, then sealed. Make sure not to get the liquid in the top open area of the bag or the seal will not be complete in some cases. There is no accessory for sealing mason jars or recorking wine bottles. It would be nice if there were, but even if 'invented', there is no vacuum port or nipple on which to attach an external vacuum hose. Overall, this is a really good, heavy duty vacuum sealer which is a workhorse in my kitchen.
